Biography

For the last ten years, Dr. Wyczechowska has been managing the Cellular Immunology and Immune Metabolism Core (CIMC) at the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center. Currently about 100 researchers (committed through the iLab system) from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, LSU Dental School, Tulane University, Ochsner Health System, and Xavier University utilize the CIMC.

Dr. Wyczechowska aids with sample processing and instrument operation, as well as consultation in experimental design, troubleshooting, data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of the data for graphic presentation and publications. She organizes group and individual training for all members of the CIMC and organizes workshops and seminars for investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students. She handles, processes, and analyzes clinical and basic research specimens to assist researchers.

Recently, she has collaborated with and supported several Junior Investigators from the Phase 1 COBRE “Center for Translational Viral Oncology” in order to help them to understand and develop new assays for experiments. In the Phase 2 COBRE project, she will continue to assist JPIs to design and implement experiments.
