John T. Cole, MD, earned his medical degree from LSU and completed his medical internship and residency at Ochsner. He completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Columbia University in New York, where he was Assistant Professor of Medicine prior to retuning to Ochsner in 1989. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Dr. Cole has written many articles for scientific medical publications and has authored chapters on medical therapy for breast cancer in several oncology textbooks. At the LSU Health Sciences Center, he the Acting Clinical Chief of Hematology/Oncology.
