David Worthylake, PhD, obtained BS and MS degrees in Physics from Southern Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, respectively. He earned a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Utah in 1998. Until 2004, he worked with Dr. John Sondek at the University of North Carolina, where he studied the mechanism of activation of Rho GTPases by members of the Dbl family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors. His research interests include aging, cancer biology, cardiac stem cell development, cell signaling, cell metabolism, proteomics, protein trafficking, and structural biology.
