Chunlai Wu, PhD Chunlai Wu, PhD, earned his doctoral degree and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Now an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neuroscience and Cell Biology & Anatomy, he pursues research aimed at identifying the molecular pathways and matrix that shape the structure and strength of synaptic connections formed during development. He focuses on synaptic formation, structure and function, and the role of ubiquitination in neurodegeneration, synaptic development, and plasticity. One goal of his research program is to identify specific ubiquitin targets in response to age-related and other pathological conditions.
