Lolie Yu, MD, MPH, earned her MD from the University of Santo Tomas, College of Medicine and Surgery in 1979.  She completed her MPH studies at the University of Texas School of Public Health in 1982.  She is a Professor of Pediatrics and a Pediatric Specialist in Hematology/Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. She directs the Bone Marrow Transplant Program for the LSU Health Sciences Center and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.  In addition, she serves as the Director of the Autologous Bone Marrow Laboratory at Children’s Hospital.  Her research interests include stem cell transplants, nutrition and cancer, cord blood, and CD34 stem cells.
