Bio

Dr. Gerdes is a native New Orleanian growing up in the suburbs of Metairie. She is a proud graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School graduating as Valedictorian in 1992. She attended Tulane University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in three and a half years after successfully defending her thesis in Cell and Molecular Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree from LSU Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans. After finishing an internship in internal medicine, she completed her residency in dermatology at LSU Health Sciences Center.  

Dr Gerdes has three amazing children. Dr. Gerdes enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. In addition, she and her family enjoy attending sporting events such as football, baseball, and gymnastics.
