Bio
Dr. LeBlanc was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduating summa cum
laude from Jesuit High School, he proceeded to Charlottesville, Virginia, for undergraduate
studies at the University of Virginia, graduating with distinction with a Bachelor
of Arts in Human Biology/Bioethics and a minor in Spanish. He then returned to New
Orleans for his medical school training at the Louisiana State University School of
Medicine in New Orleans. During his medical education, he was elected to the prestigious
Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, the highest academic honor in medical school.
Upon completion of his undergraduate medical education, he undertook an internship
in internal medicine at the Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
During the internship, he was selected “Most Outstanding Intern” and was awarded the
Aesculapian Society Resident Teaching Award by the students of LSU School of Medicine.
He then completed a residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia in
Augusta, where he served as chief resident during the final year of residency training
and was also awarded the Marshall A. Guill Resident Teaching Award.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. LeBlanc continued his training at an ACGME accredited
Procedural Dermatology fellowship under the mentorship of world-renowned Mohs surgeon, Dr.
Gary Monheit, at Total Skin and Beauty Dermatology in Birmingham, Alabama. During
fellowship, Dr. LeBlanc directly assisted or personally performed over 2000 Mohs cases,
as well as gained additional training in other aspects of procedural dermatology,
including neurotoxins, soft tissue fillers, advanced chemical peel techniques, dermabrasion,
and laser surgery.
Dr. LeBlanc has published numerous scientific articles and authored three textbook
chapters. He has also had the opportunity to lecture to a broad range of audiences,
from local residents to premier national meetings such as the American Society of
Dermatology Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and
is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as a Fellow of the American
College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. LeBlanc is also a member of the American Medical Association,
the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (where he serves as Chair of the Young
Dermatologic Surgeons subcommittee), the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Jefferson
Parish Medical Society, and the Louisiana Dermatological Society.
