What are the Clinics?
The LSU Student-Run Homeless Clinics are an integral part of LSUHSC’s commitment to serving New Orleans. We have a clinic for adults at the Ozanam Inn, 843 Camp Street, on Saturdays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and at the New Orleans Mission, 1129 Baronne St, on Thursdays from 12:00 pm (noon) until 4pm. Services include physicals, TB and STD screenings, blood pressure screenings, referrals, and physician consults and prescriptions. We see a diverse array of patients at both locations and have been successful in helping the needy seek care for their basic medical needs.
Our primary purpose in holding medical clinics at these shelters is to offer medical care to those who have none. We strive to give needy patients effective medical assistance in a caring environment. For more on our missions and goals for our clinics, please visit Mission and Vision.
