ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR CLINICAL AFFAIRS

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jayne Weiss has been appointed as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs; this is a part time post and she will continue as Professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology. She will be taking on specific initiatives related to clinical affairs and will continue to be active with the Clinical Science Department Head group as well as on the various LSUHN committees that she either chairs or participates on as a member.

Dr. Weiss, who has been on our faculty since 2011, is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo and Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. She trained at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and Harvard School of Medicine before beginning her academic career. She was a faculty member at University of Massachusetts and Wayne State Schools of Medicine before coming to LSU in New Orleans.
