Bio

Dr. Winfield serves the LSU Health Sciences Center's School of Medicine as the Clinical Assistant Professor and Interim Chief of Gynecology. His chief interest is minimally invasive surgery with the use of laparoscopy and robotic. He has served this community over the last 20 years. He serves on the LSU School of Medicine Admissions Committee. Dr. Winfield is involved in the mentorship of high school students, college students, and nurse practitioner students. He serves as a faculty pipeline program mentor with the Office of Diversity and Community Engagement. When not practicing at LSU he enjoys serving the international community with mission trips to Haiti and Rwanda.
