Bio

Dr. Bajestani is a fellowship-trained breast pathologist, and also has experience in all platforms of immunohistochemistry. He is the Director of Breast Pathology and the Director of the Immunohistochemistry Laboratory at University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is the Ronald A. Welsh Professor of Pathology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He previously served as the Director of Breast Pathology and Director of the Immunohistochemistry Lab in the Department of Pathology, and had a second appointment as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). He was a member of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee, GME Quality Improvement/Patient Safety/Data Subcommittee, Breast Care Leadership Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee, Pathology Clinical Competency Committee, and Pathology Program Evaluation Committee.
