October- Cardiomyopathies, heart failure and heart transplantation

November- Congenital Heart Disease in the Adolescent and Adult-

December-  Cardiac pharmacology

January- Operative considerations (bypass, circulatory arrest, etc)- D. Gottlieb-Sen

February-  Cardiac Genetics  

March-  Acquired Heart Disease

April- Syncope and Sudden death

May-  Hematologic considerations (use of anticoagulants and anti-platelet agents)

June- Preventative cardiology/ hyperlipidemia and its pharmacology

 

 

Additional Didactics:

 

Lunch and Learn series (case-based learning) weekly at lunchtime

Echo lecture series:  Mondays 4:30-5:30 pm

Cath/ EP lab series:  2nd/4th Wednesdays of each Month 3-4 pm* 

Cardiac Physiology and Cardiac intensive Care Management:  Fridays 8-9 a.m.

Board Review Series: Every other Wednesday 8-9 a.m.

Heart Failure and Transplantation seriesOnce per month

 

Clinical Conferences:

 

Formal weekly sign-out:  Mondays 8:45 a.m.  (all fellows/cardiology faculty)

Case Management Conference:  Thursdays 4-6 pm (Full Heart Center team)

Weekly Surgical Case Review:  Fridays 3-4 pm (Full Heart Center team)

Heart Center/ CICU M&M-  Wednesdays 3-4 pm * once per month

Cath/EP M&M- Wednesdays 3-4 pm * once per quarter
