Projects and Information

The Department of Psychiatry at LSU Health Science Center is undertaking a needs assessment to identify services available in the Greater New Orleans Area for children and individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Through direct and indirect report the New Orleans community has reported a shortage of supportive mental health services targeting Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).  While there are a number of assessment and treatment options, these often do not involve supportive care and fail to reach some of the neediest residents.
