Supplemental Services in Primary Care Facilities

Supplemental Services

One important goal of the MBHCP is to integrate mental and behavioral health into primary care facilities in Louisiana parishes most affected by the Deepwater Horizon Gulf oil spill. Psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services are being provided onsite at primary care facilities and via telepsychiatry to increase services offered to affected communities. LSUHSC clinicians provide resource linkage, referral sources, training consultations, as well as direct treatment and indirect expert guidance.
