Mental and Behavioral Health Capacity Project- Louisiana

Mental and behavioral health services are being delivered to residents in the 17 counties/parishes in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi designated by the Federal District Court as most impacted by the Gulf Oil Spill. These services, designed to increase capacity on a sustainable basis, are provided through the Deepwater Horizon Medical Benefits Class Action Settlement: Gulf Region Health Outreach Program (GRHOP)—Mental and Behavioral Heath Capacity Project (MBHCP). Four institutions across each of the four most impacted states collaborate to carry out MBHCP. These institutions are the three in the original Gulf Coast resilience coalition, the University of South Alabama, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, and the University of Southern Mississippi, with the addition of the University of West Florida.
