Welcome to the School of Medicine Genomics Core!

The Genomics Core offers a wide range of services designed to support the large-scale genomics needs of the LSUHSC community - basic science researchers and clinicians alike. The SOM Genomics Core offers two primary mechanisms to conduct your genomic analysis: 1) via outsourcing by partnering with contract research organizations to obtain the best possible genomics data at the most affordable cost and 2) by providing in-house services on our Illumina MiSeq. We support all of your large-scale genomics needs including whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing, transcriptome sequencing, miRNA-sequencing, and others. The LCRC Genomics Core is also available for use by any LSUHSC faculty member.
