After graduation from high school in Bogalusa, Louisiana, he enrolled at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1955. That same year he enrolled in the LSU Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1960, he received a degree in medicine. During the four years in medical school he served as class president. A rotating internship followed at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Once internship was completed, residency was begun at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana under the late Abe Mickal, MD. In 1964, Dr. Dildy went into private practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the New Orleans Medical and Surgical Clinic at Southern Baptist-Memorial Hospital. The practice became Obstetrical Associates of Louisiana in 1984, remaining at the Baptist-Memorial Hospital. In 2000, he joined the teaching faculty at LSUHSC as director of the Colposcopy Clinic. He has held the same directorship for two years at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At present, he continues to be the director of colposcopy in the Breast and Cervix Project at the LSUHSC, Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence, Louisiana. Residency: Charity Hospital, New Orleans |
