 JUNIOR RADIOLOGY COURSE
JUNE 2009 
 

The Junior Radiology Course will be held:

• June 22 Registration
• June 23- July 2, 2009 lectures (New Orleans, LA., MEB Room A)

The goals of the course are to:

• Familiarize you with basic imaging principles and radiation safety
• Familiarize you with array of imaging modalities available
• Teach you what is important for ordering and viewing studies
• Teach you the fundamentals of CXR (and KUB) interpretation
• Provide an interesting bridge between the L2 and L3 years

 Attendance will be required:

• Roll will be taken for all presentations
• 80% attendance will be needed to pass the course
• Signing for others will not be tolerated
• Signing for others will result in failing the course and referral to CPC

 Course grade will be determined by:

• Attendance
• Passing a final exam
• Final comprised of practical and written components

 Additional requirements and Course Information:

•  There is no required textbook for the 2009 course
•  Radiation safety outline (placed on website)
•  Refer to Website postings for selected lectures from PowerPoint Lectures
•  Course Review and Handouts can be obtained the day of the lecture

Registration will take place Monday 6/22/08.  We look forward to seeing you all in Room A for  the first lecture 8:00amTuesday 6/23/09.
