Research
Many faculty members are active in research activities. A focus of our section has been the aging kidney in conjunction with your nephrology colleagues at LSUHSC, nutritional interventions for geriatric disorders, impact of aging on aspects in long term care in the setting of a pandemic and cancer and aging.
Research opportunities exist for medical students, residents, fellows, MPH candidates, nursing and allied health students at clinical practice site. Our retired research Director Dr. Erwin Aguilar remains committed to an ongoing research curriculum.
