Stefany Primeaux, PhD
Department of Physiology
Dr. Stefany Primeaux’s research centers on the impact of alcohol use on metabolic health and dietary behaviors. Her ongoing projects examine: (1) how adolescent alcohol exposure influences taste receptor expression and taste preferences; (2) the effects of at-risk alcohol use on metabolic parameters and dietary intake; and (3) the potential of aerobic exercise to mitigate alcohol-related metabolic dysfunction. Through both clinical and preclinical approaches, her work aims to identify behavioral and physiological pathways that inform interventions to improve nutritional and metabolic health in individuals consuming alcohol.
