The Tiger Scholars Program is a highly selective, tuition-free academic accelerator
designed for top-tier pre-medical undergraduates and post-baccalaureates. This intensive
5-week non-residential program provides high-touch faculty engagement and advanced
academic preparation.

Important Dates
- Application Window: Tuesday, January 19, 2027 through Monday, April 5, 2027 (@ 11:59 PM CST)
- Program Dates: Monday, May 31, 2027 through Wednesday, June 30, 2027. (Class sessions are held Monday-Friday.)
Eligibility Requirements
- Academic Standing: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate/Post-baccalaureate students
- GPA: 3.0 minimum
- Coursework: Must have completed academic credits in organic chemistry and physics
- Residency/Enrollment: Currently attending a Louisiana undergraduate institution OR a Louisiana resident attending an out-of-state undergraduate institution
Required Application Documents
- Official transcript from current institution
- Government-issued ID (Driver's License or U.S. State/Federal ID)
- Social Security card
- Current immunization records
- Two to three recommendations from current professors; two must be from current science
and/or math professors
- Accepted during the application period and after submission: Provide recommenders’ names and contact information to receive letter requests
- Personal Statement—Detail how this program would support and/or accelerate your pursuit of medical education
