LCME Accreditation
The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) is the accrediting body for the medical education programs that lead to the MD Degree in the United States. Accreditation is a voluntary, peer-reviewed process of quality assurance that determines whether the medical education program meets established standards while fostering institutional and programmatic improvement. Institutions achieve and maintain accreditation by meeting LCME accreditation standards.
After reviewing the survey team’s report and findings, the LCME voted to continue full accreditation of the medical education program for an eight-year term. The next full survey visit will be in 2033-2034.
