Empowering Faculty to Support Struggling Residents: Strategies for Effective Mentorship and Intervention

The goal of the workshop is to equip faculty with tools to identify, support, and guide struggling residents. Topics that will be covered include recognizing early signs of a struggling resident, implementing effective intervention strategies, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

This session offers a dual-perspective exploration of fellowship interview logistics, highlighting both shared fundamentals and key differences in approach. Presenters will guide participants through the full interview cycle—from pre-season planning and documentation, to executing successful in-person or virtual interviews, to navigating post-interview follow-up and rank list preparation. Through interactive discussion, real-world examples, and audience polling, attendees will be equipped with practical tools, renewed confidence, and actionable strategies to lead a smooth, efficient, and compliant interview season.
