Requirements
For the PhD degree, it is expected that a minimum period of four years be devoted to full-time study, including dissertation research and defense.
Between 10 and 20 graduate students are enrolled in the department during a calendar year. Career choices are varied, but most students prepare for positions in teaching and research at the university level.

Each student is required to present their research in the departmental seminar series yearly and to participate in a Departmental/ Center Journal Club.
