Biography

Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Settoon graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School and began her journey in healthcare by volunteering at Children's Hospital as a teenager. She attended the Honors College at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, and later returned to New Orleans to earn a Master’s degree in Human Genetics from Tulane University. During medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Settoon was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the prestigious Norma Ragland Academic Award and Shira Kansas Community Service Scholarship.

She completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at LSU, where she was elected Chief Resident by her peers. Throughout her training, Dr. Settoon remained deeply involved in professional organizations such as the AAO-HNS Section for Residents and Fellows, as well as local community initiatives including Habitat for Humanity, Catholic Charities, and Girls on the Run.

Following her residency, Dr. Settoon completed a two-year fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals, with a focus on pediatric otolaryngology.

Dr. Settoon is now available to see pediatric patients with general ENT concerns at Children’s Hospital clinics in Uptown, Metairie, and on the Northshore. She has special interests in pediatric ear disorders, cochlear implantation, pediatric voice and sleep surgery, and pediatric airway reconstruction.
