Bio
Hamid Massiha, MD, FACS is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery and Director of the Resident Aesthetic
Clinic.
Dr. Massiha received his medical doctorate from Tehran University in 1966 before completing
a General Surgery residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in New York. He then
trained in Plastic Surgery at LSU before completing an additional fellowship at NYU.
Dr. Massiha’s 50-year career in aesthetic surgery is remarkable and he loves to share
his wisdom and experience with our residents. He plays a major role in staffing cases
at the resident cosmetic clinic, guiding senior residents but allowing for significant
autonomy.
