LSU Eye Center Research Facilities
The LSU Eye Center effectively bridges the basic and clinical sciences. The physical facilities of the Department promote and sustain this synergy. At the downtown academic and research site, both researchers and clinicians have their offices on the third floor of the Lions - LSU Eye Center building at 2020 Gravier Street, and utilize 40,000 ft2 of research laboratory space on the fourth floor. Here, the researchers and physicians meet and interact many times each day: clinical problems are never far from the minds of our research faculty, and the potential for investigation is in the forethought of our clinicians. This basic-clinical cooperation/ collaboration is an intrinsic part of the culture of the LSU Eye Center and contributes to its accomplishments.
