MD/MPH Admission and Application Information

To gain the most in depth information on the MD/MPH Program, please indicate you are interested in the MD/MPH on your secondary application to LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.

Students interested in the MD/MPH Dual Degree Program will apply to a specific MPH concentration:

• Community Health Science & Policy (CHSP)
• Environmental Health, Climate and Sustainability Program (EHCS)
• Epidemiology and Population Health Program (EPPH)

Application Requirements:

1. Acceptance by LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine
2. Submission of the focused LSU MD/MPH application to the LSU School of Public Health.  The application includes the following:
   1. Authorization to Release Medical School Admission Records – with this authorization you do not need to resubmit transcripts, test scores, recommendation letters, etc. The School of Public Health will receive the records you submitted to Medicine.
   2. 1 page goal statement on why you wish to pursue an MPH degree
