Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship
The LSUHSC Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at Children's Hospital New Orleans is dedicated to quality and meaningful education of the next generation of compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled pediatric physiatrists. These physiatrists will acquire a robust clinical knowledge base to ultimately practice in the setting of their choice. They will be equipped with the necessary leadership skills while training within the unique setting of Louisiana and the Gulf South to be able to guide the development of any current or future program they encounter to ultimately enhance the medical care and lives of persons with disabilities.
Fellows will participate in a comprehensive training program that aims to highlight the development of skills and knowledge of a well-rounded pediatric physiatric practice. Emphasis will be placed on experience and learning through direct patient care, structured review of literature and evidenced-based medicine while fostering an environment of professionalism, quality and safety. We aim to provide an enriched, diverse environment to foster critical thinking skills, progressive autonomy and a love of lifelong learning.
