Welcome to the LSU Pulmonary/Critical Care Section

The Section of Pulmonary/Critical Care is committed to providing the highest quality of professional education, research and patient care.

Pulmonary/ Critical Care faculty are well trained lung specialists that treat a wide range of pulmonary problems that include: asthma, pulmonary hypertension, acute lung injury, lung cancer, pulmonary infections, COPD, tobacco cessation, cystic fibrosis, occupational/environmental medicine, tuberculosis and HIV related pulmonary disease.

Our Allergy/ Immunology faculty members focus on the immune system, including allergy assessment and treatment, asthma and allergic rhinitis, immunodeficiencies, and drug hypersensitivity evaluation and treatment.  They are leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions of various severity and complexity.

Our Section is also involved in research in respiratory diseases that is leading to exciting new treatment options.
