The Center for Bioinformatics Services (CBS) was established in 2017 with a mission to provide bioinformatics and data analytics solutions and support services to the research community in ways that drive LSUHSC to become recognized as a national leader in data driven biomedical research to improve human health and reduce health disparities. Situated within the School of Medicine, the BIDSSC is charged with helping the university to meet its growing demand for bioinformatics and data analytics support services to a thriving biomedical research community across campus and partner institutions and to help expand the university's R&D base to solidify LSUHSC's future as a destination and partner-of-choice for data driven basic, translational and population sciences research.

The center is located in the Clinical Sciences Research Building, at level 7, Suite 748. Center staff have decades of experience in helping to solve a wide variety of bioinformatics, computational genomics and data analytics problems, large and small. We have extensive experience and expertise in analyzing multi-scale multi-platform omics data and other biological data and integration of these data with clinical information to help drive basic, translational and population science research forward and advance the research mission. We can help you with your project from experimental design, through all analyses to publication, at competitive rates. Feel free to have a look at some of the peer-reviewed work which we have contributed to, or check out our training workshops. We also provide services through our Free Clinic held on Fridays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. If you have any questions about how we can help you, please get in touch. We look forward to working with you!
