When patients over the age of 70 are diagnosed with cancer, we now have a new, specialized service for them. These patients can be seen in the Geriatric Oncology Program at the LSU Health Science Center.
All patients over the age of 70 will benefit by taking advantage of this new service, but especially those who have significant medical problems, in addition to their cancer diagnosis, and those already on multiple prescription medications.
The Geriatric Oncology Program of the LSU HSC New Orleans is located at the LSU St. Charles Healthcare Network campus.
