Congenital Heart Disease in the Adolescent and Adult-

Cardiac pharmacology

Operative considerations (bypass, circulatory arrest, etc)

Cardiac Genetics  

Acquired Heart Disease

Syncope and Sudden death

Hematologic considerations (use of anticoagulants and anti-platelet agents)

Preventative cardiology/ hyperlipidemia and its pharmacology

 

Additional Didactics

Echo Lecture Series:  Mondays 4:00-5:00 pm

Cath/ EP Lab Series:  Wednesdays 4:00-5:00 pm 

Cardiac Physiology and Cardiac intensive Care Management:  At discretion of CICU staff

Breakfast and Learn (Case Based Series): Thursdays at 7-8 am

Board Review Series: monthly on Tuesdays 7-8 am

Heart Failure and Transplantation Series:  Once per month

Journal Club:  Every other month on Friday afternoon

Pathology: Monthly on Tuesdays

 

Clinical Conferences

Daily formal CICU/ in-patient Cardiology sign-out

Formal weekly sign-out:  Mondays 8:45 a.m.  (fellows/cardiology faculty)

Case Management Conference:  Thursdays 4-6 pm (Full Heart Center team)

Weekly Surgical Case Review:  Fridays 3-4 pm (Full Heart Center team)

Heart Center/ CICU M&M-  Wednesdays 3-4 pm once per month

Cath/EP M&M- Wednesdays 3-4 pm once per quarter
