Find a LocationFinding the right specialist to treat your condition is important and LSU Otolaryngology has physicians trained in all sub-specialities.
Find a SpecialistOur Otolaryngology Residency program is a 5 year, regional program known for its strong clinical emphasis consistent with LSU's reputation for training fine clinicians.
Due to the high incidence of tobacco use and HIV, Louisiana experiences an increased prevalance of oral cancers. A new etiological agent, the Human Papilloma Virus is causing an increase in tonsil and tongue cancer diagnoses in younger individuals.
Our goal with this program is to "flip this cancer," and in an effort to raise awareness, the Department of Otolaryngology hosts free oral cancer screenings.
As our department encompasses a spectrum of clinical fields and surgical specialties associated with head and neck anatomy, our research studies reflect this diversity.
