The Match: The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)

Provides access to match data and reports.  Significant reports include:

  • The data report Results and Data: 2021 Main Residency Match which contains statistical tables and graphs organized by state and sponsoring institution with numbers of positions offered and number filled.
  • The research report Charting Outcomes in the Match: Senior Students of U.S. MD Medical Schools which provides characteristics of US MD Seniors who matched to their preferred specialty in the 2020 Main Residency Match.
  • The Program Director Survey which examines the factors program directors used to select applicants to interview and rank.
