Supporting a Safe and Respectful Learning Environment

The LSU School of Medicine is committed to fostering a respectful and professional environment that supports excellence in teaching, learning, research, clinical practice, and patient care. All members of our community share the responsibility to uphold these standards by treating one another with courtesy and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere where everyone can succeed.  To review the LSU School of Medicine policy on appropriate treatment of students, please see the following link:

While these values are central to our purpose, we recognize that instances of mistreatment—whether intentional or unintentional—may occur within the learning environment. Such concerns are taken seriously, and we remain dedicated to maintaining a culture of professionalism that promotes the highest standards of academic and clinical conduct.

If an incident does occur, individuals are encouraged to report it using the designated reporting forms. These forms help ensure that concerns are documented, reviewed, and addressed appropriately. The school does not tolerate any form of retaliatory behavior towards any student who reports.
