Hospitalist are experts in managing the clinical problems of hospitalized patients and in coordinating care with primary care physicians and specialists. Patients benefit by having a doctor who is focused on their care while they are in the hospital and a doctor who is more available to them than the traditional office-based internist.

Conditions Treated

Heart Failure

There are 2 types of heart failure: systolic heart failure and diastolic heart failure.

Acute Coronary Syndromes

Stable Angina, Unstable Angina, NSTEMI, STEMI

Obstructive Lung Disease

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Cystic fibrosis

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an infection of one or both of the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. It's a serious infection in which the air sacs fill with pus and other liquid.
