Programs via National Office

AΩA offers a variety of programs through their national office.  Students interested in service activities should look into the Medical Student Service Project Award, which provides grants to help startup service-based initiatives.  Students may leverage their creativity and interest in the arts via essay, poetry, and photography competitions.

Students conducting research should seek funding via a Kukein Student Research Fellowship, which offers a significant monetary award.  Faculty members seeking to improve the means of promoting professionalism in medical students and resident physicians should look into applying for an AΩA Professionalism Fellowship.

The national office also offers a number of avenues for honoring faculty members who have continuously displayed a strong committment to education, including: a visiting professorship and honorarium, the Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award, the Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award, and the Administrative Recognition Award.

For more information on these programs, please visit AΩA's national website, and feel free to contact the Chapter officers for additional information and assistance.
