The Informed Clinician: A Primary Care Lecture Series – Baton Rouge

Target Audience:

The primary target audience for this CME activity is faculty, nurse practitioners, students, invited guests and other healthcare professionals practicing in the LSU Health System, LSU affiliated hospitals and communities within the State of Louisiana for whom this is within the current or potential scope of professional activities. The lecture series is designed to enhance the Primary Care Physicians’ knowledge of commonly encountered diagnoses and symptoms and improve clinical practice.

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be better able to:

  • Identify and apply current evidence-based practices in the diagnosis and management of commonly encountered conditions in primary care settings.
  • Demonstrate improved clinical decision-making in response to prevalent symptoms and diseases within the patient populations served by LSU Health System and affiliated communities.
  • Integrate updated diagnostic strategies and treatment guidelines into routine care to enhance patient outcomes in diverse healthcare environments.
  • Recognize opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals to address primary care challenges within the LSU-affiliated healthcare network and the broader Louisiana community.
