Fellows' Schedule
1st Year
- 6 months of Inpatient
- 4 months of Outpatient
- 4 weeks of Pathology spread throughout the year
- 4 weeks of Research scheduled towards the end of the year
Inpatient experience:
- Lead an interdisciplinary team
- Teaching of medical students, residents, NP and PA
- Lead and manage inpatient rounds
- Primary clinician on all active Bone Marrow Transplant patients
- Conduct family conferences on all new diagnoses
- Procedures on Inpatient:
- Diagnostic spinal tap with or without intrathecal chemotherapy
- Bone marrow aspirate and biopsy
Outpatient experience
- Continuity Clinic
- Full day every week for 3 years
- Clinic in conjunction with clinical mentor
- Sub-specialty Clinics
- Monday – Sickle Cell Clinic (1st)
- Tuesday – Hemophiliac Clinic (2nd and 4th)
- Tuesday and Thursday – Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic
- Thursday – Sickle Cell Clinic (3rd)
- Thursday – Late Effects Clinic (2nd and 4th)
- Blood Bank Rotation, Radiation Oncology Rotation, Pathology Rotation
2nd Year
- 1 month of Inpatient
- 2 months of outpatient
- 1 month of Electives
- 2 weeks Blood Bank
- 2 weeks Radiation Oncology7 months of Research

3rd Year
- 1 month of Inpatient-pre-attending
- 10 months of Research
