The SOM Junior Faculty Guidance and Mentoring Committee hosts Speed Mentoring on September
                     29, 2023. Junior faculty have an opportunity to earn CME credit while meeting senior
                     faculty who may share similar career or academic interests.  
                  

LSU Medical Alumni Association Purple & Gold Gala
The Alumni Association hosts a night of delicious cuisine, libations, a silent auction,
                     and dancing, with entertainment by Dat Band on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 7 pm
                     - 11 pm at the New Orleans Marriott/555 Canal St., New Orleans, Grand Ballroom. Purchase

                     on Friday, October 20. Proceeds benefit student activities, advanced medical education
                     technology, and community outreach efforts such as Camp Tiger and the student-run

The Faculty Development Committee hosts Jordanian American award-winning author, leadership
                     keynote speaker, and executive coach Dima Ghawi on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 1-4pm.
                     Her workshop, "The Misfit Advantage," will leave you thinking more about best practices
                     for facilitating and embracing one’s individuality, tips for creating a culture of
                     belonging, and the benefits for leaders of letting differences shine in the workplace.
