We have celebrated many holidays and events since our last issue! In between all the holidays and celebrations, your dedication to the School's mission carries through week after week. This newsletter highlights just some of the critical work that goes on day in and day out, saving lives and improving the health of our community.
In this issue, we wish Leslie Capo a wonderful and well-deserved retirement. Leslie promoted LSU Health tirelessly and we will certainly miss the level of experience and expertise she brought to every story she shared on our behalf.
Judy Crabtree and I appreciate all the feedback on the revamped Seen in the Papers section. We are happy to announce that after this issue we will return to the original format and present by department.
In this issue, you will find long lists of awards, publications, grants and contracts and stories about the ways you bring health care directly to the community. As always, I sincerely thank everyone who has reached out with a suggestion, story or photo to share with you all. There is no news to share without you!
Please continue to tell me about your work! You can email me at dflock@lsuhsc.edu anytime with an idea for a story, information or pictures that we can share. As always, I extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Judy Crabtree, Todd LaGrange, Akriti Karki, and Dr. Stephanie Taylor who all work behind the scenes to get each issue published.
