Executive Coaching Program
Executive coaching is a professional development process where a trained coach works with executives, leaders, or high-potential employees to enhance their leadership skills, performance, and personal development. As LSU SoM graduates of the Leadership Academy, you serve in leadership roles within a demanding work environment with high expectations for performance. Executive coaching can lead to improved performance, better decision-making, and enhanced leadership capabilities through increasing insight, self-awareness and self-reflection.
Common areas of focus during coaching sessions may include, but are not limited to:
1. Examine leadership style, enhance strengths and explore areas for growth.
2. Improve interpersonal communication and identify your communication style.
3. Identify opportunities for career growth within and beyond academic medicine.
4. Prepare and plan for career transitions including interviews, succession planning,
etc.
5. Develop sustainable wellness habits that balance professional and personal roles.
6. Refine teaching skills to enhance content delivery and presentation style.
