Kent Humble, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine in the Family Practice Residency Program based at University Medical Center in Lafayette, La. In addition, he maintains a part-time private practice in Rayne, LA.

A native of south Louisiana, Dr. Humble received his medical degree and Family Practice training from LSU School of Medicine-Shreveport. He helped develop the Family Practice Residency Program in Alexandria, La., then spent several years in private practice in Lafayette before joining the UMC faculty.

Dr. Humble has special interests in Gastroenterology and Gynecology and instructs residents in endoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP. He is also a preceptor of the Minor Surgery Clinic at UMC.

Dr. Humble is a musician and enjoys tennis, golf and south Louisiana fishing.
