Bio

Tami LaGraize, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. She is a 1996 graduate of LSU School of Medicine - New Orleans. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she served as chief resident. In 2001, Dr. LaGraize completed a two-year Geriatric Fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. After five years in private geriatric practice in Lafayette, La., she joined the newly accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at University Medical Center in Lafayette. 

Dr. LaGraize is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. Her areas of expertise include geriatric assessments, dementia evaluation and treatment, palliative care, and home-centered care of older adults.
