Dr. Guanyi Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Genetics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) and Louisiana Cancer Research Center (LCRC). Dr. Zhang completed his formal studies at the School of Life Sciences at Jilin University in Changchun, China and Tulane University, receiving a PhD in Biochemical Pharmacology. His research in Wanguo Liu's Lab includes, but not limited to, characterizing genetic factors in prostate cancer and finding novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods for prostate cancer induced by AR/AR-Vs. In the future, Dr. Zhang hopes to continue a career in the medical science especially in cancer research.
