Kristina F. Larter is currently a MD/PhD student in her first year of graduate school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. She is currently working under Dr. Yaguang Xi at the Louisiana Cancer Research Center. Previously, she received two Bachelor's Degrees from Tulane University, one of which was in Biomedical Engineering and the other in Neuroscience. After leaving Tulane, she went on to complete a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences at the University of New Orleans during which she conducted research studying the effects of different anesthesia on physiological parameters of the fish model Fundulus grandis. She plans to pursue research focusing on cancer and unraveling the process of tumor metastasis.
