About me:
I grew up in New Orleans, where I attended Jesuit High School and then LSU in Baton Rouge. After completing my Masters degree in the lab of Dr. Stephania Cormier in the Department of Pharmacology, I started the MD/ PhD program here at LSUHSC in the fall of 2009. I joined the Department of Genetics in 2011 under the guidance of Dr. Luis Del Valle in the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center.

Primary Research Interest:
Currently my project in Dr. Del Valle's lab focuses on the polyoma virus JC virus and its role in the formation of tumors of the CNS and colon.

My Career Goal:
I am very interested in pediatrics, possibly sub-specializing in hematology and oncology.

What makes me unique:
I have a great passion for travelling. I aim to visit at least one new country every year.

What makes me typical? I spend my weekends doing PCR.
