Community of ScholarsWhether you’re seeking tailored guidance, looking for collaborators, or hoping to learn more about available resources, we invite you to connect with Dr. Creel and join our developing community of education scholars.

The Office of Faculty Affairs is expanding support for education scholarship productivity. A second event, “Cultivating Education Scholarship Through Community: From Evidence to Action,” takes place on December 2nd from 4-5 pm. At this session faculty discuss the structures and resources needed and available to develop an education scholarship community that meets the needs of LSU SoM faculty. Additional sessions are planned for 2026.

Recordings of past sessions are available on the Faculty Development website.

New Faculty Orientation

website imageThe Office of Faculty and Institutional Affairs is excited to launch a new Faculty Orientation page on the Faculty Development website. A new 11-part video series welcomes new faculty to LSU School of Medicine. The brief videos cover topics ranging from faculty development to research resources and opportunities for faculty engagement. The orientation webpage concludes with three Tiger Bites podcast episodes.

New faculty were welcomed during the recent General Faculty Meeting on November 18th and were invited to a reception following the meeting to network with their new colleagues in the LSU SOM community.
