Jason Middleton, PhD from the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy helped us delve into the benefits of AI with a workshop titled Teaching Beyond the Classroom - AI Tutor: Transform your current teaching content to a personalized learning support tool.

Our own Drs. Amy Creel, Robin English and Amanda Messer hosted a workshop titled Belonging, Becoming, and Professing, to help you discover your scholarly identity, build momentum, and even guide others on their own journeys to meaningful engagement with education scholarship.

In the workshop Harnessing the Power of Generational Differences in the Clinic and Classroom, Geoff Talmon, MD from the University of Nebraska taught us strategies to communicate more effectively with others from different generations and broaden our perspective on generational differences to improve teaching.

The Faculty Development and Evaluation Committee in collaboration with the IRB Committee has launched clinical, human subjects research to new heights. This three-part virtual series prepared faculty at all career stages who intend to engage in human subjects research. The first workshop helped participants decipher between quality improvement projects and human subjects research requiring IRB approval. The second workshop provided insight into writing a successful proposal, including what language to avoid. The final workshop defined the role of the PI, working effectively as a research team, and taking accountability as the mentor.
